Steve Light creates
this journey to help a little boy find his dragon. Throughout the story the
reader travels across the big city to find the dragon. The boy thinks of all
the places the dragon likes to go and the things they like to do together. By
the end, the reader and boy find the dragon right where he left him.
The illustrator drew the
illustrations in black and white with a marker. The illustrator uses color only
to point out the items the boy mentions. When the boy first goes to look for
his dragon, he thought his dragon might have been hungry so he goes to hotdog
stand. The illustrator colored the hotdogs and nothing else in the picture. In
each illustrator he adds numbers to count the object the boy mentions until
they get to number 20.
